Ceiling fans can be either very simple or somewhat complex. You will rarely find a ceiling fan with more than a few settings, but some of them do have a good amount of features. For example, some fans can have dozens of settings, made possible through a dimmer switch. A separate switch can also be used for lights equipped to the fan, so it functions as both a fan and a light source.
Some fans also come with remote controls, so you do not need to get up to change the fan manually. If the fan has lights attached, then you can also turn on and off the lights without moving.
